Caring for Your Bouquets
- Fill a clean vessel (vase, jar, jug, teapot!) with fresh water
- Cut stems on a diagonal about 2.5 cm from the base of the stem
- Remove lower foliage to reduce bacterial contamination of water
- Cut stems and change water every 1-2 days
- Keep flowers in a cool area away from fans, heat sources, or direct sunlight
- Avoid placing cut flowers near sources of ethylene gas (e.g. fruit such as apples)
- Remove wilted flowers and change out vase to suit size of bouquet
